The total value of bids and offers has reached a new high of £71million, while the number of active markets (wines with either a bid or an offer) has surpassed 14,000.

Liv-ex 100 and Liv-ex 1000 rise in July


The Liv-ex 100 – the industry benchmark – closed July on 310.07, up 0.28% on the previous month. This is the first month to include the updated index components. It also marks only the second increase for the Liv-ex 100 so far this year. Find out more here.

The broadest measure of the market, the Liv-ex 1000 index, also made gains in July to close the month on 357.68 (+0.49%). Find out more about its performance and its sub-indices here.

Dom Perignon 2008 leads weekly trade


The most active wines last week were all French, coming from Bordeaux, Burgundy and Champagne. Moet & Chandon, Dom Perignon 2008 took the top spot, with a last trade price of £1,180 per 12×75 – below its current Market Price. Read the full article here.
