Wellington is a ward of the wine-producing district of Paarl, in the Western Cape province of South Africa .Mont du Toit's quality focus is evident in their flagship wine. Mont du Toit , a boutique wine estates has quietly building its reputation as one of South Africa most critically estate. located  at the foot of the mighty Hawequa mountains, Mont du Toit Kelder (cellar in English) was acquired in 1996 by lawyer Stephan du Toit . While the 28-hectare Mont du Toit wine estate vines varies from 9 to 23 plus years. Grapes are handpicked and meticulously sorted to ensure only the best fruit is used for vinification. With a Mediterranean-style climate and complex soils Le Mont du Toits’ unremitting pursuit of quality is the real driving force behind the estate’s success. 

 

Tasting notes: Deep red robe .Scented petals and red berries on a rich nose. Deep round taste with hints of plush fruitcake and plum aromas.  A dense mid-palate followed by savoury hints.  A well balanced tannin structure and a long lingering finish.  

 

Grapes Variety: Cabernet Sauvignon, Alicante Bouschet, Shiraz, Cabernet Franc ,Petit Verdot, Merlot
