The Ackerman winery founded in 19th century, by a young Flemish man, Jean-Baptiste Ackerman .Today are the oldest fizzy wine company from the Loire Valle as it produces premium Traditional Method sparkling since 1811.The wine methode is the heritage from a rich banker's son who left Antwerp .Arrived in 1810 Champagne where he explored the hills and valleys of this chalky region and began to learn all the secrets of the famous drink concocted in the 17th Century by the Benedictine monk Dom Pérignon. Subsequently, he became the founder in Saumur of the “method traditionnelle”.
The wines is available as Rosé Brut and Blanc Brut
Tasting notes: Bright pale gold colour with a refreshing and mineral nose with citrus notes . A lively palate with a long mineral finish on apple and citrus aromas.
Grapes Varieties: 50% Chenin, 40% Chardonnay, 10% Cabernet franc.
