The Mosel Valley, Germany, offers rich pickings for riesling fans, or newcomers to this noble white grape. Famed for its world-class riesling, they can vary from sweet and floral with a honey edge, to bright and racy with hints of peach and plum. Mosel is one of 13 German wine regions (Weinbaugebiete ) for quality wines (QbA and Prädikatswein ), and takes its name from the Moselle River (German: Mosel ).Joh Jos Prüm producer of one of the finest vineyards on the left of the Mosel is arguably the Bernkasteler Badstube. Here the vines cling onto less vertical angles and see more of the afternoon sun. tantalising and very fine. At only 8%, this is rather innocent, lighter than some beers.
